The garden is a sacred retreat. I let my usually busy mind rest and wander. I’m here in the moment. Water softly sprays my toes, dying flower heads cut ready for new growth. I am at ease in the late summer afternoons.
I spent time in my garden painting flowers and the other elements for this piece. I used mixed media and layered the elements in Adobe Photoshop to create the finished illustration.
Medium used: Watercolours, graphite, coloured pencil, acrylics, and fine line pen.
